M.I.A. – “Bad Girls”

SO WHAT.

M.I.A. comes out with a BANGing new video right around her controversial Super Bowl appearance. I admit, I haven’t been interested in anything she’s done for a while, but this track may bring me back. Watch the video below.

The Big Leagues of Dubstep

SILKIE presents “CITY LIMITS VOL 2″ TAKEOVER!

Welcome to the Big Leagues of DUBSTEP folks. The crew over at GetDarker TV have certainly outdone themselves this time with their upcoming 99th episode. With the likes of  Silkie & Quest, Loefah, Von D, TRU:TEK and MC No Lay, episode #99 will surely go down in the record books with such a beastly line up.  The episode will be broadcast live from 7p -11p  Tuesday June 7th London time and can be seen here.

Angry Boys

If you haven’t had the chance to watch some of Chris Lilley’s work, you are most definitely missing out. Starting with the TV show “We Can Be Heroes”, and following up with the epic season of “Summer Heights High”, Lilley is back with his third show, “Angry Boys”. Why do we love Chris Lilley so much? He not only created, but writes, directs, and acts in each show; and multiple characters at that. Although the story-lines only last for one season, they follow the several characters Lilley plays. Oh, and it’s all set in Australia. Oi! Watch the trailer below and tune into HBO for the season premier.

Lonely Island New Music and Release Date

The Lonely Island released a new single last Friday on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.  Once again their up to “fake-rap” shit  with the song We’re Back.  Check out the video below.  The new album Turtleneck and Chain, drops May 10th.

Philip Glass and Sesame Street’s Geometry of Circles

I spent some time on Christmas watching Jim Henson’s Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas and yesterday, the topic of Philip Glass came up in conversation, and with both on my mind, I was reminded of the piece above. Philip Glass is a great American composer who is still composing in present day. If you’re not familiar with him, start by watching Koyaanisqatsi.

I Just Had Sex – The Lonely Island

The Lonely Island does it again with their new song “I Just Had Sex” which premiered on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live. I’ve been watching the comedy troupe’s digital shorts on SNL for years, (they created “Dick in a Box” and “Jizz in My Pants”) and now they have “”I Just Had Sex” featuring Akon. The music video also stars Jessica Alba, Blake Lively, and randomly John McEnroe. The song is available on iTunes for download and is the first single for The Lonely Island’s next album coming out in 2011, which is sure to make you shoot fireworks out of your dick.

Childish Gambino (Donald Glover) “Culdesac”

Here at WGWit we are huge fans of the NBC show Community.  The show has consistently proved itself to be one of the most original comedies on television, and in my opinion the best ensemble sitcom since Arrested Development.  One of the breakout stars of the show is the young comedian Donald Glover, who plays the dim-witted Troy.  I have been a fan of Donald ever since I discovered his sketch comedy team “Derrick Comedy” on youtube a few years ago.  (One of my favorite videos of theirs can be found after the break.)  He is also an Emmy-nominated writer for the show 30 Rock.  Clearly he is a multi-talented dude, but I didn’t know how talented he really was until I discovered his rap album “Culdesac” which he released recently under his stage name “Childish Gambino” (what a badass name).  The album is surprisingly  good, and his comedic chops can be recognized in the extremely clever lyrics.  He’s part Drake, part Bo Burnham, and part something-completely-different.  The album can be downloaded for free at His Website.

Make sure to check out this acoustic version of “Got This Money” in the video below.  He can sing too!  Is there anything he can’t do?

S#*! My Dad Says Auto-Tuned

If you already thought it was ridiculous that CBS made a sitcom based off of the Twitter feed Shit My Dad Says then look no further than what SidTheBillyGoat posted yesterday.  An auto-tuned version of the latest episode of S#*!
