JD Samson and Johanna Fateman of Le Tigre, with Emily Roysdon, Michael O’Neill, and Ginger Brooks Takahashi, have a new band called MEN that focuses on the energy of dance music and live performance. Their album Talk About Body recently released February 1st and you’ll be able to catch them at Coachella (that’s if you got tickets), or if you can’t wait, they’ll be at Echoplex March 26th.
Emeralds recently opened for Caribou during the first leg of their tour. Depending on your mood, the album can be upbeat and inspiring (if blasted really loud while on a creativity binge), or perfect for a gloomy day. Does it Look Like I’m Here is their most recent LP released on Editions Mego.
