This is all great for me because just as I became a fan they’ve released a new single, “A Dancing Shell”. Hopefully you’re already a fan and this is exciting news for you, or you can become a fan right here, right now:

Paper Plates hits us with a track about seeming nervous and being a social pariah over a slow and slick head nodding beat with his latest track, “Ocean”. The entire song is somewhat unsettling and Paper Plates does not let up throughout the entire 4:23 minutes of pure dark hip-hop that “Ocean” offers. And although you might feel a little uncomfortable by it, you keep pressing that play button over and over again. Also, his accent automatically gets him bonus points with every American girl, ever. Damn, I need to get back to London soon…

But before that, you all should get on the Paper Plates game so you will be able to say you knew him when. Check out “Ocean” below, or his video for “Gutter Mouth” if you can’t get enough.

So, we have heard “Started From the Bottom” and “5 AM in Toronto” from Drake’s upcoming full length, and while both of those are solid tracks, “Girls Love Beyoncé” just completely blows them both out of the water. Staying true to the smooth vibes of this song, the lyrics are sentimental, sincere and beautiful said. There is even a “Say My Name” callback in there too!! Oh, Drake, you’ve done it again.

Hey guys, remember “212″ or “Fuck Up The Fun” which were both super fun, lyric dependent Azealia Banks songs? Well, “YUNG RAPUNXEL” is nothing of the sort. “YUNG RAPUNXEL” is the first single off of her upcoming full length, Broke With Expensive Taste, which still has no release date after being hyped for more than a few months. Banks has moved away from the solid rap game and more towards the electronic scene, which probably has something to do with the fact that she snagged a major record label deal since the beginning of her career. This song relies heavily on the creepy, deep beat, and much less on the lyrics/screaming that Banks does throughout the song. Honestly, I find “YUNG RAPUNXEL”, just as a song, as mediocre. I probably will not even listen to it again, after writing this article. But…this video, though!

I did not think that witch-hop could be displayed in visuals, but this video does a pretty damn good job. Complete with mouth-eyes (yup), bashing riot police in the face with champagne bottles and random owls flying everywhere, the “YUNG RAPUNXEL” is nothing if not shocking, which is what Banks and her label is striving for these days. Maybe none of those feuds were real at all…maybe her label just wants a bunch of unnecessary drama. Or maybe not. I don’t know. Keep doing you Azealia.

Check out the unnerving video for “YUNG RAPUNXEL” below.

This song begins with crickets, breezes into a distant woman’s vocal, and then breaks in with elegantly spoken rap. Marcè Reazon keeps a river running type flow in the producing of this song, and there is never a misstep or wrong note. Complete with piano appearances, fluid electronic effects, and some barely-noticeable-but-still-beautiful-singing in the background, Marcè really outdid himself with this one. The verses throughout the entire track are solid as well and help aid with the head bopping the song demands, but the real stand out in this song is the beat. Beauty has been defined, and you can find it in Marcè Reazon’s “Rain”. Get to know this Long Beach native now so you can say “I remember when” when he is gracing the covers of magazines and Billboard charts.
