Pharrell & Mac Miller – “Glow”

It feels like forever ago that the first leak off of Pink Slime was released, but it turns out that it was only about two months ago. Luckily, Pharrell and Mac are back with their second leak, entitled “Glow”. And boy is it a doozy.

With quick raps and a full beat, “Glow” is a slam packed jam. Pharrell does a great job of opening the song with his laid back yet direct flow, and also providing “Glow” with a repetitive and catchy as hell chorus. Mac throws down on Every. Single. Verse. Each word seems perfectly planned and delivered with a lackadaisical flow on some verses and more of a stuntin’ attitude on others. Luckily, the beat does not overpower the song, even though it is fast and loud. Mac is really growing as an artist, from a simple rapper from the Burgh to the more complex rapper who can create more creative verses than ones about just strictly blazing. My favorite line? “Life isn’t all about the money / Well…it kinda is when you outta money”. It is so perfectly placed and I got such a Jay-Z bucket hat moment from it.

Yeah, I know this song is not anything lyrically revolutionary, but I really love it. The beat is perfect, the collaboration is a gift sent from heaven, and the mood is just so perfect. Check out “Glow” below!
