Sccucci Manucci’s Mix for No Dough Music

James Vorres, aka Sccucci Manucci, put together a mix for No Dough Music containing some of his current favorite tracks, a nice upbeat collection that’s great for spring. Along with the mix is a Q&A with No Dough, featuring the meaning behind “Sccucci Manucci”, what’s new for the label, and the revival of pressing vinyl. Read it here

Borneland – Apr. 13 Mix

Brothers Jonas & Micki Borneland pump out monthly hour-long mixtapes. They started out as graphic designers, work as sound producers, and just three years ago got into DJing, not too bad! Listen & download April’s mixtape, it’s groovy.

Azealia Banks – Fantasea

Azealia Banks’ newest mixtape is heeerrrreeeee!!! WGWI has been semi-silently watching Azealia for a while now (ever since “Fuck Up the Fun” hit our eardrums, earlier this year); keeping tabs on her career has definitely been somewhat of a roller coaster ride. From her firing her manager and, subsequently, almost quitting rap because of it, WGWI has been watching her Twitter feed and Soundcloud account with admiration. With the amount of solid music she has been releasing, it should be no surprise that the internet is buzzing all about this album. There are some hits and some misses, like anyone’s first album/mixtape, but I am really happy for Azealia and I think she will soon grab ahold of some mainstream success (and hopefully, dear god hopefully, take Nicki Minaj’s spot as the “female rapper” since apparently there can only be one at a time). You can download Fantasea from DatPiff.com right here; be sure to let us know what track is your fave.

Childish Gambino – Royalty

It’s here, it’s here, it’s finally here! Childish Gambino’s newest mixtape, Royalty hit the internet today and from what I read, every blogger is more than excited about it. To write a song by song review of the mixtape would probably be overkill because I love every song. The collab aspect of it is great too (not that Childish Gambino would make anything less than great) with people like Ab-Soul, Nipsey Hussle, Ghostface Killah, RZA, and. . .Tina Fey? Beck also took some time to produce some of these tracks, so obviously, this is the best mixtape ever. Couldn’t find a SoundCloud account with all the songs streaming, but you can download it (right here!); if you are interested in the playlist with the full list of features and producing credits, check out this article on Paste.

French Montana – Coke Boys #3 Trailer

French Montana

French Montana is a rapper who has dropped two extremely dope mixtapes entitled Coke Boys and Coke Boys #2 (he really stretched himself creatively when naming them). I have been a fan of French Montana since forever, and was super stoked to see this promotional video for Coke Boys #3 which will be dropping this April. Check it below:

Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y and Big Sean mixtape in the works.

If you’re into living that Jet life and Taylor gang lifestyle with a side of Good Music, well then there’s a mix tape out there in the works just for you. The 420 friendly favorites, Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, and Big Sean have leaked a few songs from their upcoming mixtape. So far the tracks surfacing the web (Dot Dot Dot, O.T.T.R, Weed Brownies and Flowers) seem to prove why these wordsmiths are the future of hip hop, the production on these leaked tracks remind of me something Doom/Madlib cooked up after getting blunted. Don’t take my word for it though, check these tracks out now and see for yourself.

Shimmy’s Re-mixtape

Last night I spun at a highlighter party at the Long Beach ZBT house as a favor to my boys (don’t you love college?).  Amidst a sea of top 40 tracks I threw down a quick, fifty-minute, no-frills mix of some glitch, electro, and dubstep remixes that I randomly picked out of my iPhone.  Of course, I recorded it live.  So here it is in all its glory.  Tracklist/individual track reviews and downloads after the jump.

…and yes, I do ♥ tits.

Shimmy’s Re-mixtape 50 min, 18 secs long
